Vestments

I snip swatches of fabric from the magnificent vestments adorning figures in religious paintings found in some of the world's great museums, to better appreciate their vibrant colors and to render a degree of abstraction to the painter's sensual renderings. The barest hint of the human form enshrouded in the bold curves and seductive folds provides an element of vitality that I'm especially eager to capture.
